Join Chicago-based artist Maria Gaspar for a hands-on workshop where you’ll punch holes in her collected images of Texas prisons, literally “disappearing” the facilities to imagine new landscapes beyond their walls. The conversation centers on abolition and carceral systems, with a special abolitionist punch recipe from New Orleans artist jackie summel’s Solitary Gardens served to fuel the discussion. All ages and abilities are welcome—just come ready to participate in this collaborative act of freedom-making.
