Grammy-winning saxophonist Aaron Joseph Lington joins director Ken Edwards and the Blue Note Jazz Orchestra for a contemporary big-band program of inventive arrangements and original works by today’s leading jazz composers. The Citrus Jazz Combos also take the stage, bringing the spontaneity of small-group improvisation to the mix. It’s a chance to hear student and faculty musicians share the spotlight with a world-class guest artist in a bold, forward-looking set.
