Featuring Jean-Claude Orfali
Genres: jazz/blues
Jean-Claude Orfali, longtime principal pianist at the Lapin Agile and a favorite of PianoForte Chicago's owner Thomas Zoells, leads a tribute to the late cabaret owner Yves Mathieu. The program mixes solo piano with a potpourri of Parisian songs, plus a short video montage honoring the family legacy carried on by Mathieu and his sons. Veterans of the Cabaret Connexion perform in the oldest surviving cabaret room in Paris, the birthplace of cabaret as a haven for musicians and artists.
