Jake Shimabukuro brings his genre-blending ukulele mastery to the McCallum Theatre, showcasing a style that folds jazz, rock, classical, blues, folk, and traditional Hawaiian sounds into one expressive set. The Honolulu-born player, who first broke through with his viral take on George Harrison’s “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” continues to push the instrument far beyond its usual limits. Expect a performance that’s as technically sharp as it is emotionally wide-ranging.
