Antonin Baudry’s two-part historical film dives into Charles de Gaulle’s refusal to accept France’s 1940 armistice and his fight to keep the resistance alive, while also spotlighting the overlooked contributions of African and colonial fighters in WWII. Presented by Visions Ouest Productions with SFU Live, in collaboration with Alliance Française Vancouver and Le Relais francophone de la C.-B., this marks the films’ first screening in Western Canada. Both parts screen in French with English subtitles, with individual tickets at $9.75–$13.50 or a $25 double ticket for the full story.
