Featuring Vancouver Chinese Music Ensemble, Ginalina
Genres: country/folk
Vancouver Chinese Music Ensemble and Ginalina team up for Steeped in Sound, a program where the whistle of a boiling kettle becomes a launchpad for a journey through an old tale from northeastern China, a Canadian vista, and a nod to Scottish bagpipes. Expect traditional Chinese instruments to mingle with Canadian folk touches and on-the-spot improvisation, creating a sound that feels both rooted and restless.
