Featuring Julie Boulianne, Julien Dran
Opéra de Montréal brings Jules Massenet's Werther to life at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier in a co-production with the Canadian Opera Company and Vancouver Opera. The evening highlights the return of Julie Boulianne and features the Montreal debut of Julien Dran as the poetical protagonist who becomes consumed by his love for Charlotte. Set against a backdrop of late 18th-century Germany, the production centers on a large engraving of the town of Wetzlar.
