Francesco Corti leads LACO’s own virtuosi from the harpsichord and organ through a program of Venetian Baroque sinfonias and concertos, including Vivaldi’s rarely heard reconstructed Organ and Violin Concerto with Assistant Concertmaster Tereza Stanislav and the striking “Grosso Mughal” featuring Concertmaster Margaret Batjer. Violist Rachel Barton Pine brings her Viola d’amore to two concertos, exploring the instrument’s resonant, sympathetic strings, while works by Albinoni and Galuppi round out the portrait of Venice’s musical golden age.
