Lisa Rothe directs Oscar Wilde's celebrated comedy, The Importance of Being Earnest, at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa, where it skewers Victorian England's upper class as part of the Rep season. In this production, characters Jack and Algernon adopt false identities to pursue romance with Gwendolen and Cecily while facing the unbending Lady Bracknell. The show is performed in repertory with Mother Russia.
