Featuring Short North Stage
Short North Stage brings Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman's Tony Award-winning musical Hairspray to life on the Garden Theater Mainstage, featuring direction and choreography by Dionysia Williams Velazco. The story follows Tracy Turnblad as she leverages her fame on the Corny Collins Show to champion integration in 1962 Baltimore. This production is based on the New Line Cinema film written and directed by John Waters with a book by Thomas Meehan and Mark O'Donnell.
