Pianist Lee Kanehira, whose style was shaped by Barrelhouse Chuck Goering and his colleague Erwin Helfer, leads this tribute to the late Chicago blues master, joined by Delmark artist Johnny Iguana, Grammy-winning guitarists Billy Flynn and Little Frank Krakowski, and the rhythm duo of Gerry Hundt and Smokey Campbell. Expect a night of blues and boogie with plenty of humor, honoring a player who learned from Sunnyland Slim and Pinetop Perkins and went on to back Johnny B. Moore, tour with Nick Moss, and perform at a presidential inaugural ball.
