Featuring Colorado Symphony, Deanna Tham
Genres: classical
The Colorado Symphony’s Outside the Box Series gets a Thursday-night spotlight as conductor Deanna Tham leads the orchestra through Frank Zappa’s orchestral works, including *The Perfect Stranger*. The program also features fresh compositions from Alex Temple and Dai Fujikura—the latter a piece for electric guitar and orchestra—showcasing how Zappa’s influence ripples through today’s composers. It’s a smart, offbeat pick for anyone curious to hear classical forms bent in playful, unexpected directions.
