Sum Cut hosts a 30th anniversary screening of *Set It Off* at the Miracle Theater, celebrating the story of four friends who turn to bank robbery to seize control of their lives—including Queen Latifah’s Cleo, a standout openly queer character from ’90s cinema. The program pairs the film with its soundtrack, weaving in tracks like “Don’t Let Go (Love),” “Missing You,” and “Set It Off.” It’s a fitting tribute to a tale that still resonates three decades on.
