PARA/normal Borders, a MexiCali Biennial project, brings together 56 artists from California and Mexico whose work digs into the borderlands as a porous zone where histories, memories, and identities keep surfacing. With film, sculpture, painting, photography, sound, and more, the show treats the border as a shifting ground where the seen and unseen collide—and looks at how surveillance and tech stretch that line far beyond the map. It’s a wide-ranging, thought-provoking look at a place that’s never just a line on a landscape.
