Carmen Lomas Garza: Picturing the Familiar in Riverside, CA
Saturday, November 7, 2026 – Sunday, February 14, 2027 · All day
3581 Mission Inn Ave., Riverside, CA
$1–$17.95
Step into the world of Carmen Lomas Garza, whose heartfelt paintings of family gatherings and everyday Mexican American life anchor this major retrospective at the Riverside Art Museum. The show pairs her work with pieces from 17 other artists whose friendships helped define the Chicano art movement, and it reunites four paintings from the landmark 2001 *Chicano Visions* exhibition. Curated by ASU Art Museum’s Alana Hernandez, it’s a warm, wide-ranging look at a community’s stories and the art that grew from them.
