Featuring Dr. Marina Lévy

Oceanographer Marina Lévy takes the stage at the Simons Theatre to discuss the ocean's role as a massive carbon machine, ranging from tiny phytoplankton to complex marine life. This free Lowell Lecture, co-hosted by the New England Aquarium and the Lorenz Center of MIT's Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences, also examines new strategies for leveraging the sea to pull carbon from the atmosphere. The presentation is generously supported by a gift from MIT alumnus John H. Carlson.
