Kids ages 7-14 can get a solid start in chess at the Salem Community Life Center, where they'll learn the rules, piece movements, and key tactics before putting their new skills to the test in friendly matches against each other. It’s a laid-back, hands-on way to pick up the game and get some real board time in.
