Fountain Theatre presents Dominique Morisseau's sharp, witty, and emotionally resonant satire that weaves together the stories of two Black women separated by more than a century. Through clever stagecraft and biting humor, the production explores how both an enslaved spy from the Civil War era and a modern university professor navigate institutional racism while striving to reclaim control of their own narratives.
