Shen Yun brings ancient China’s classical dance and music to life with ornate costumes, animated backdrops, and a live orchestra. Founded in New York in 2006 by artists inspired by Falun Dafa, the company revives traditions that have largely vanished from modern China, including pieces that address the experiences of those under communist rule. It’s a theatrical journey into a cultural heritage you won’t find elsewhere.
