Ohio State Theatre presents Oscar Wilde’s *The Importance of Being Earnest*, directed by Tom Dugdale, in the Proscenium Theatre. The classic farce follows friends Algernon and Jack, who both adopt the alias “Ernest” to woo Cecily and Gwendolen—until Gwendolen’s formidable mother, Lady Bracknell, throws a wrench in the plans. Expect witty banter, mistaken identities, and a handbag in this sharp satire of Victorian society’s shallowness; the digital program is available online, and there’s no late seating or reentry.
