George Hardy, a shepherd who reads murder mysteries aloud to his flock, is found dead under odd circumstances—and his sheep, who’ve secretly understood every word, take it upon themselves to crack the case. Leaving their meadow for the first time, they venture into a human world far more tangled than any page-turner suggested. It’s a clever, cozy twist on a whodunit, perfect for fans of animal-led capers and gentle satire.
