San Diego Junior Theatre brings Louis Sachar’s *Holes* to the stage, directed by Shellina Hefner, following Stanley Yelnats as he’s sent to a youth detention center where daily hole-digging reveals a twisted path to truth. This clever, offbeat story weaves crime, punishment, and redemption into a family-friendly performance with some mature themes. Expect a roughly 1-hour, 45-minute show, including intermission, that’s as thought-provoking as it is entertaining.
