The Brockman Gallery presents its first large-scale exhibition at LACMA, honoring the legacy of brothers Alonzo and Dale Brockman Davis who established their South L.A. space after the Watts Rebellion. This showcase features rich archival materials and more than 60 artworks that highlight how the Davises supported emerging artists of color like David Hammons, Suzanne Jackson, and Carrie Mae Weems. Visitors will explore a collection dedicated to artistic experimentation, intellectual exchange, and multicultural community building within their historic project.
