Featuring Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings
The rivalry between these teams stems from the Kings and Lakers both being in the NBA's Pacific Division, both teams being located in California, and it has deep roots, as the two franchises joined the Basketball Association of America (BAA) in 1948. Their playoff history is most famous for the Western Conference Finals series that the Lakers won, which is regarded as one of the most controversial playoff series in NBA history.
