Celebrating both the festival’s 17th year and Salem’s 400th, the 2026 Salem Lit Fest brings together over 40 authors and presenters across a broad mix of genres for readers of every age, with programming centered on the city’s history and its road ahead. The entire lineup is free, thanks to support from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, Salem Cultural Council, Salem Five Bank, Wicked Good Books, and Witch City Walking Tours. It’s a solid weekend to browse new voices and dig into Salem’s own story.
