The 32nd Annual Youth Fishing Derby gives anglers 15 and under the lake all to themselves, with the water freshly stocked with rainbow trout for the occasion. Young participants grab a wristband at registration before casting a line, then stick around for the raffle and awards ceremony, where winners need to be present to take home their prizes. It’s a solid, free morning of fishing for the kids at Lake Poway.
