Featuring Son Volt
Genres: country/folk, rock
Son Volt is a band that emerged in 1994 when Jay Farrar, a songwriter from St. Louis, left the breakup of Uncle Tupelo to start a new group. Their sound blends alternative country, folk rock, and Americana, with Farrar's vocals and guitar anchoring songs that look at the changing American landscape.
