Art-BC’s *Momentum: Power and Identity in Sports* turns the gallery into a sports-bar-style hangout, tracing over a century of Chinese Canadian athletes through archival pieces, portraits, and a new moving image work. Featuring icons like Patrick Chan, Lori Fung, Bryan Chiu, and Alexa Loo, the show also brings in Rirkrit Tiravanija’s interactive ping pong setup and fresh commissions from YOUNG-HAE CHANG HEAVY INDUSTRIES, Wong Ping, and Felicia Chang. It’s a playful, thoughtful look at how competition shapes belonging—grab a paddle and jump in.
