Featuring Franchelle S. Dorn, Marc Pouhé, Helen Merino
Austin Shakespeare presents a staged reading of *Lear* with Franchelle S. Dorn as the monarch, Marc Pouhé as the Fool, and Helen Merino as Cordelia, alongside Dorn’s real-life daughters Amani and Mary Dorn as Goneril and Regan. Directed by Ann Ciccolella, this version uses scenic projections and music to tell the story of an aging ruler dividing her kingdom among her children, with surprising twists. It’s a fresh, accessible take on the classic tragedy featuring some of Austin’s finest actors.
