Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto and Carmelo Torres bring their collaborative project *Madre Cumbia* to the stage, a meeting of Colombian cumbia’s foundational sounds with the musicians who’ve shaped its journey. The record draws from the deep pull of gaitas and drums, the sabanero accordion, and the electric bass that pushed tropical music forward, tracing the style’s full evolution. Expect a live set that honors that lineage while letting these generations of players trade ideas in real time.
