Featuring D.K. Harrell
Genres: jazz/blues
D.K. Harrell is a Louisiana-born blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter whose playing is often compared to B.B. King. His singing, guitar playing, bandleading, songwriting, gentlemanly manner and tuxedo attire, and stage presence all echoes King; and he doesn't duck the comparison. His style blends sharp single-note bends with soulful, gospel-rooted vocals, heard on his Alligator Records album Talkin' Heavy, which features twelve original songs filled with biting guitar work and authoritative, church-born vocals.
