Celebrate the museum’s 40th annual Día de Muertos exhibition, which digs into its Permanent Collection to show how the tradition and the institution have shifted over time. The show traces the holiday’s Mesoamerican and Catholic origins and pays tribute to Chicano Studies pioneer Dr. Gilberto Cárdenas. Outside, a courtyard installation highlights youth-made art and a community ofrenda where you can leave your own remembrances for loved ones.
