Featuring James Groening, Ryan Hughes, KC Hall, Chris Sparrow, Jay Simeon
Join Artist in Residence James Groening (Blue Sky), a Cree artist from Kahkewistahaw First Nation, as he hosts a carving open house exploring the connections between Cree and Coast Salish artistic traditions. He’ll be joined by fellow Indigenous carvers Ryan Hughes, KC Hall, Chris Sparrow, and Jay Simeon for live carving demos and cultural knowledge sharing throughout the day. It’s a hands-on chance to watch these artists at work and learn about the stories behind their craft.
