Professor Andrew Lear leads this fall edition walking tour through West Village, revealing lesser-known stories like Mae West's 1926 arrest for producing a pro-gay-rights play and Walt Whitman sharing his homoerotic poems at a Broadway bar. The journey goes beyond the famous 1969 Stonewall riots to explore how these historic moments shaped the neighborhood's culture.
