Eric M. Furst, Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Delaware, will present findings on how colloidal suspensions form complex structures without gravity interfering. Using experiments conducted inside the Microgravity Science Glovebox aboard the International Space Station, he demonstrates how removing sedimentation allows for the direct observation of fully three-dimensional assembly. This seminar takes place at Building 66, 25 Ames Street, Cambridge, MA.
