The Smack Dabs bring the upbeat, 1930s-era Swing Blues sound to West Roxbury, playing tunes associated with Tampa Red, Big Bill Broonzy, and the Harlem Hamfets. Expect a mix of soulful laments and lively party numbers that leave room for plenty of solo and group improvisation, perfect for listeners and dancers. This free program is sponsored by the Friends of the West Roxbury Branch Library and is open to everyone.
