Featuring Lamine Touré & Group Saloum
Genres: pop, hip-hop/r&b
Lamine Touré & Group Saloum bring their long-running Boston act to 13 Brattle St, blending Senegalese sabar drumming with Afro-pop and Congolese soukous for a propulsive, danceable mix. Led by the percussionist and MIT instructor, the group has been a local staple since 2004, and The Boston Phoenix has praised their hard-hitting fusion of West African rhythms and modern dance beats. Expect a lively, groove-driven set that moves from percussive intensity to joyful, uplifting melodies.
