Latino Theater Company presents the world premiere of Luis Alfaro’s *Speaking in Tongues*, a drama set in a Pentecostal church on the edge of a cornfield in Earlimart, California. After their pastor vanishes, Hermana Romie, Hermana Cubby, Hermano Mando, and Hermano Tico navigate their shared gossip, meals, and devotion to the Apostolic faith, with immigration tensions simmering beneath the surface. It’s a close-up look at small-town Chicano life, faith, and community in flux.
