Altgeld Library presents a screening of *Jazz on a Summer's Day*, a film capturing intimate performances by musical legends including Louis Armstrong, Thelonious Monk, Gerry Mulligan, Anita O'Day, Chuck Berry, and Dinah Washington. Originally shot at the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival in Rhode Island and directed by Bert Stern, the program concludes with Mahalia Jackson's rendition of The Lord's Prayer before the transition to Sunday morning. This 4K restored version brings the historic all-star lineup to life for the community.
