Join Calvin B. Jones at the Archer Heights Library to create your own mini-mural, inspired by the artist’s work painting six murals across Chicago’s South and West sides from 1976 to 1987. Jones, a figure in the Black Arts Movement, drew from the AfriCOBRA collective’s signature palette of vivid, saturated hues—a style you’ll get to play with hands-on. The library’s archives will be on hand to offer deeper context on his practice.
