Join Chester Commodore for an interactive drawing and illustration session that explores how his powerful cartoons championed racial justice and equality in the Chicago Defender. This community gathering invites you to learn from a legendary artist whose work broke barriers and reached audiences worldwide starting with his historic 1954 editorial on Brown v. Board of Education. The event takes place at Bezazian Library, offering a chance to engage directly with one of the most acclaimed African American cartoonists of the twentieth century.
