Join CPL Renaissance Project Scholar Jahan Choudhry and Meghna Chandra for a reading group at the Chicago Bee Library that explores how Black labor connected workers' rights, civil rights, and electoral power in Chicago history. Using archival materials from the CPL's Vivian G., this session invites community members to examine W.E.B. Du Bois's vision of the Black Worker as a central force for democracy.
