Poet and memoirist Javier Zamora joins Professor Derik Smith (Literature, CMC) for a conversation about his book, *Solito*, and the immigrant experience. Zamora recounts his solo journey from El Salvador to the U.S. at age nine, weaving in themes of identity, home, and the moments of joy and love that persist amid hardship. It’s a candid, humanizing look at child migration and the border crisis.
