Join Miemie Winn Byrd ’89 as she reflects on a life shaped by an impulsive ROTC decision, CMC’s historic coeducation, and decades spanning military service, academia, and Myanmar’s democratic movement. Drawing on her roles as soldier, educator, immigrant, and Burmese American, she shares hard-won lessons on embracing the unexpected, redefining success, and leading with integrity. A thoughtful conversation for anyone pondering how service—and identity—can evolve far beyond what you first imagine.
