Catch a rare lineup of 1970s Chicago street films at the Block Museum, featuring works by Zora Lathan, Robert Fulton, Ruth Klassen, JoAnn Elam, Chuck Kleinhans, Eleanor Boyer, Dan Barnett, the Community Film Workshop of Chicago, and Tony Phillips. The roughly 83-minute program mixes laid-back portraits with rigorous structural experiments, including both classics and newly unearthed gems, all tied to the museum’s *Picturing the Modern Metropolis* exhibition. It’s a solid pick for anyone curious about the city’s scrappy, inventive film scene from that era.
