Hosted by 2020 Youth Poet Laureate Madison Petaway, this showcase features bilingual poetry readings from Houston's ESL students that explore their personal stories and future visions. The event brings together a diverse group of voices to celebrate the city's many languages through an open mic format at the Houston Public Library – Central (Jesse H. Jones). Funded in part by the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance, the program highlights how poetry fosters community connection across different linguistic backgrounds.
